Sustainable Materials for Interiors

Sustainability in interior design is not a product category — it is a set of decisions. We prioritise materials that are locally sourced, durably made, and designed to age gracefully rather than be replaced every decade.
Reclaimed teak outperforms new timber in both character and environmental footprint. Lime plaster absorbs carbon over its lifetime. Natural stone, properly sealed, lasts generations without maintenance. These are not compromises — they are upgrades.
We also consider embodied carbon in specification. A material with a lower environmental cost at installation may have a higher lifetime cost if it needs frequent replacement. The most sustainable choice is often the one you only make once.
Our material library is organised by behaviour: what patinates, what stains, what tolerates moisture. This honesty helps clients make informed choices that align with both their aesthetic and their values.
Specify what you have touched, aged and priced. Nothing else.
